It’s June in London and of course, there is no summer. Barbecues, wearing dresses? Nah. Hello, this is London! Summer generally lasts for 2 weeks in August (ok, interrupted by a couple of rainy days) and that’s it. It. Over. Done. Before it started!!
We all feel desperate – really desperate – for a summer vacation! Our Vitamin D has been depleted, we need sun… sun. Just a little, a tiny little bit of sunshine and heat. Please? Pretty please?

1. You desperately want to wear that dress and the sandals.
No matter if it’s only 15C out there and the general fashion consensus amongst people is to wear sneakers, jeans and a jumper with a jacket. AND those people are generally also showing off their umbrella designs. Nah, you couldn’t care less. The sun will only come out if people believe. Someone has to make a start!
2. Getting up in the morning to go to work causes real emotional (and physical!) pain.
Although you actually managed to get 8 hours of sleep you feel like you have just gone to bed and drifted away. Your head hurts and your whole body aches. This feeling is generally worst on Mondays. You just can’t do it!
3. You are tired. Just so so tired. All. The. Time.
And coffee number 7 does not help through your afternoon low! When you work in excel you sometimes see one sneaky letter repeating itself in a cell again and again…jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
4. You can’t even remember the last time you swam in the sea.
When was the last holiday? 6 months ago, 8 months, a year? Yes, first world problems are also problems..
5. If someone offered you a plane ticket to a beach right now, you would grab it and RUN to the airport.
