Cat Monkey – Our Little Pink Travel Mascot

Hello, my name is Cat Monkey, I am Nadine’s travel mascot. I was born in Vietnam in the year of the monkey :) And you know what, I am actually a little monkey but I love to dress up as a pink cat! Although I am just 5 months old I have already been to a lot of adventures.

Here are some photos of my life as a travel mascot:

Nadine and me posing. Look how small I am. Travelling is so much fun. I can really recommend becoming a travel mascot!

From here I can see so much more than from Nadine’s bag! But it is not really as comfy.. and I wouldn’t be able to sleep on his shoulder.. Nadine always had lots of scarves in her bag (in case we’d pass by a beach or somewhere to lie down in the grass), so it was always super comfy for me.

Isn’t this dragon statue cool?

Hehe, do you see me? I am hiding!

Look how cute I am!! I am so good at posing!!

Hiding again :) Everyone always wanted to know who I am… haven’t these people seen a travel mascot before? Hmm, well maybe not someone as cute as I am! Yes, that must have been why they were asking..

I bet I can fly….

When I am tired, I usually just go back hiding in the bag… it’s so nice to be carried around :)

I spent 2 months in Vietnam after I was born. Then we travelled through the whole of New Zealand! Such a cool trip!

This is me road tripping in New Zealand. Here I am seeing a super beautiful surfer beach. But being a little travel mascot with fur I was not able to go into the water. You know I actually can’t swim..

This is me in the middle of nowhere also in New Zealand.. Do you see the sheep in the background? I have never seen so many sheep in my life.. I am quite sure there are more sheep than people in New Zealand!

This is me driving around through the amazing nature of New Zealand. Ok, ok,  this is me being driven around… I am just the travel mascot, I don’t drive myself.. yet! By the way, this is me with only half my kittie costume.. I am still cute, aren’t I?

This is me drinking beer! Yes, I know what you are thinking! How can a 5 months old travel mascot be allowed to drink beer.. Well, guess what, I wasn’t allowed! All the picture-posing taught me how to self-time a photo with Nadine’s camera when she is not around :) :)

Do you also have a little travel mascot? Is it as cute as me? Where have you guys been?

What a fun post! Your Travel Pet is indeed a very lucky pet! He gets to see the world without worrying about passport, liquids bag and carry on allowances. Lovely pictures!

Haha, this is so cool! I used to have a traveling penguin which I took with me everywhere I went. He even had it’s own Facebook page. He was born in New Zealand and came to me, half of the world away, by post. That’s when I decided that he needs to travel. But at some point, I stopped taking him with me. Maybe I should start again :)

Looks like Cat Monkey is having the best time ever! Make sure you always keep him in your carry-on so he doesn’t sneak of on any adventures on his own ;)

Super cute! My girls would love this. I always love when bloggers have a travel mascot, it makes for unique and interesting posts :) We don’t have a “mascot” but my daughter’s baby blanket (she’s now 8) goes EVERYWHERE and has put on more miles than most humans!

Wow! This is a first. I haven’t really thought or read about a travel mascot but this post just cheered me up. Lucky Cat monkey getting to travel a lot at such a young age. I’m sure he’s an amazing travel companion to Nadine. And I must say Nadine is pretty hip photographer too. Beautiful pictures! :) Happy travels, Nadine and Cat monkey. Hopefully someday we bump into each other.

This is such a fun post. Although I must admit that I don’t have my own personal mascot (I think I pink Cat Monkey would be a little weird for a dude) when I look back at old photos, it’s incredible to think how long and for how many miles I’ve had certain clothes and souvenirs for. Hope cat monkey still has plenty more countries left to visit!

Luckily it wasn’t the year of the rat, or the mascot would have been not so cute! :D
Nice bringing it with you all around, it’s an interesting way to present a photo reportage with a little special friend in it. I have a plush little boar, maybe next time I’ll think about bringing it with me!

The travel mascot is really so cute and adorable. I loved each and every picture. He comes across as a distinct entity with his own character in all the pictures. Really enjoyed, a smile lit up my eyes. Thanks :)

I’m not even gunna lie I would love to do something like this. I have always tried to have a “signature pose” but something like this could be very well remembered. Photography is incredible, looking forward to reading more!

Your mascot is adorable. Friends of ours had told us to get a stuff dinosaur or something, because the mascots are super cute in the photos. Which I now agree with, loved your photos. Also, Vietnam looks like an awesome place to visit.

I’ve waited til your mascot’s eye open haha jk! She’s cute anyway!

Lovely creative series that goes beyond usual travel selfiies. Like the one where it is flying. Probably I am asking for too much but can you make it swim too? ;)

Haha, well so far he likes the beach a lot but hasn’t been to the water yet. Let’s see :)

What a fun read! I don’t have such a nice travel companion myself. Cat Monkey has been to such beautiful places. I envy him – especially New Zealand! :)

LOL! We tried to have a traveling Buddha be our mascot, but forgot to take pictures of it almost every time. Cat monkey is so stealth in that costume! Safe travels!
