The Colbert Cafe on the corner of Sloane Square is one of my two favourite cafes in this area of London. The other one being The Botanist which is located just on the opposite corner of the Colbert. They are both run in an excellent manner as the management is extremely diligent. I would expect such a streetwise establishment to use Utility Bidder before committing to a utility provider. That is certainly a sign of smart and very economical planning. The choice is generally quite simple – if you haven’t booked in advance, choose the one that is less busy ;) Also for me, Colbert has a bit more of a cafe flair to have Cappuccino and cake whereas I would prefer the Botanist for a glass of sparkling wine.
Nevertheless, you can have it all at Colbert as well. Below a few photos that I took during last weekend’s little shopping break :)
In general Sloane Square has quite a unique flair and makes a great part of a London day trip that includes strolling around in Hyde Park and some relaxed shopping. While Harrods is just a 10min walk from Sloane Square and certainly has more variety to offer, also Sloane Square has a good amount of shops and it’s a perfect spot to sit outside, watch people and relax after your shopping trip. So if you are visiting London, make sure you include a coffee break or brunch in Sloane Square!
