After having travelled around the world I realised that Europe is my favourite continent :) Quite glad I did as I live in London and it would have been unfortunate had I found out that I want to live somewhere else. Whilst London is an amazing city it does lack the good weather and the beach. But then, you can’t have it all :) The reason why I love Europe is (apart from growing up here) that it is so rich in culture and history making each of the continent’s countries very different from each other. I have been to most of Europe’s countries and the ones I haven’t been to – especially the ones in Eastern Europe – are high up on my travel bucket list. I just love the fact that you can take a two hour flight that brings you to a different climate, architecture and culture, well and language.
How to Travel in Europe
There are so many ways to explore Europe from doing a must-see city hopping tour to travelling off the beaten track to spend some time in certain places and get to know the people. My favourite places, and where I consequently spent most time, in Europe are Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London and the Rhine area of Germany. But there is so much more to discover such as our philosophical heritage in Greece, the hip culture in Berlin, the beautiful architecture of Prague and Budapest, the amazing beaches in Croatia and Greece, the beauty of Venice, Scotland which is our little New Zealand, epic winter wonderlands in Scandinavia.. I could go on with this list for the next hour!
But rather than doing this, I will post country-specific suggestions, travel hacks and itineraries for each country separately. Just click on the photo of the country / place for which you want more info below. Once I get to it, I will post some Europe itineraries for the ones doing a whole Europe tour :)
