A week ago, we went on a little city break to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, a small town around 4-5 hours away from Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City. Apart from great beach resorts, super yummy food and beautiful beaches, you can visit a Fairy Stream. The Fairy Stream is a soft creek that is coloured by the clay and limestones of the beautiful rock formations that are visible while walking through the creek.
Whilst Mui Ne’s Fairy Stream first doesn’t look attractive and you might not be inclined to touch the water with bare feet, it is remarkably comfy to walk through and gets really pretty once you have walked around 5mins. That’s also about when the rock formations start on the sides of the creek. Here you may find some fairies hidden waiting just for you or at least you will find really beautiful spots for taking pictures. The Phan Thiet Fairy Stream is definitely worth a little trip if you feel like having a break from your beach time. Plan to spend around 2-3 hours there depending on how many photos you take and how many fairies you find :)
The entrance to the Fairy Stream (a little bit hidden and you have to pass some scooters).
The first 10 mins of the stream not the prettiest! Just keep on walking..
And ta-dah, it’s getting prettier :)
